Hobbies and Interests

Hobbies

My hobbies include programming, mainly using Borland Delphi 2, more recently Visual C#, and using computers generally. I enjoy the internet, and chatting with the friends I have made there. I chat twice weekly on IRC with a group of friends which is great fun. I have a digital camera which I usually annoy friends and family with snapping away at them :)

I also enjoy holidays, usually to theme parks, and am lucky enough to have been to places such as Florida, California and Las Vegas, France several times and Spain a couple of times .

I try to play the electric guitar a bit, read sci-fi, and watch sci-fi on TV.
I also like watching action films and am a fan of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis (Die Hard! Enough said), and plenty of others. I also like visiting theme parks going on rollercoasters and have a web page called Theme Park Galaxy dedicated to them.

Another hobby is eating :) and my favourite food at the moment I think is Nandos - the food is great, they do lovely chicken in pittas. :) Second to that is Chinese, closely followed by pizza with loads of things on (but not stringy cheese). I love barbeques too.

Favourite TV shows

Quantum Leap

The best time travel series of all time! (IMHO!)
Dr Sam Beckett is a brilliant scientist forced to step into the accelerator chamber before the time travel experiment is ready or else lose funding. He was engulfed in a bright blue light and he "leaped" into another persons body in a different time and a different place. He couldn't remember who he was and was shocked to see another face in the mirror. He is stuck leaping from life to life and to proceed he has to put something right that once went wrong.
Quantum Leap is being shown on UK Gold at the moments - and occasionally on BBC2, at irregular times. A new movie based on the original series is currently being made, which may lead to a new series.

Sliders

What if you could travel to different Earths where anything is possible? The Sliders are stuck sliding to parallel universes trying to find their way home.

Early Edition

In this series, Gary gets tomorrows paper... today! He knows what's going to happen, and so he tries to help people and fix things.  Another great show.

The Visitor

I think this was cancelled in the US not long after I started watching it.
Adam McArthur, a pilot, disappeared over the Bermuda Triangle 50 years ago. He comes back without having aged. What's more he can heal people, levitate, read peoples minds, and knows what's going to happen in the future. Because of this, he tries to right wrongs, in some ways similar to Quantum Leap, another great show which I really love.

Yeah, I know, 3 of the above shows involve time-travel in some form or other.  Well, what can I say - I love time-travel! :-)

Other shows I like include Lois & Clark - The New Adventures of Superman, Buffy, Angel, and Friends.
